Cyril S. Gurevitch, Q.C. continues to serve on the CBA Executive PDF Print

The Canadian Bar Association Alberta Branch is pleased to announce that Cyril Gurevitch, QC of Gurevitch Headon & Associates has assumed the position of Treasurer of the Alberta Branch for the 2010-2011 term. This is a ladder position and Mr. Gurevitch will assume the role of President of the CBA Alberta Branch during the 2012 - 2013 term.

In addition to serving on the Executive as the Treasurer, Cyril S. Gurevitch Q.C. also sits on the Membership Committee and the Section Coordinator Committee.  The Membership Committee is responsible to promote membership and member services and to develop and implement membership recruitment and retention initiatives in cooperation with the Branch Executive Director and staff membership coordinator.  The Section Coordinator Committee is responsible to monitor the activities of Branch Sections which provide ongoing continuing legal training and to assist and provide support  Sections and staff sections registrars.

The CBA is the premier provider of professional development for lawyers, ensuring that Albertans have the highest quality legal representation. The Alberta Branch promotes the work of lawyers through our public legal education programs and Law Day activities and assists the public by advocating for expanded legal aid and promoting pro bono work by lawyers. The CBA-Alberta does this and more through the dedication of our more than 5000 members, lawyers, judges and law students volunteering their time to advance the profession and the public interest.
