As of December 1, 2011 we have changed the name of our law firm to Gurevitch Burnham. 

Gurevitch Burnham will continue to provide high quality legal service to the community and businesses in the Peace Country in the following practice areas:

The Canadian Bar Association - Alberta Branch is pleased to announce that Cyril Gurevitch, QC has assumed the position of Vice-President of the Alberta Branch for the 2011-2012 term.

During his time on the Executive of the CBA-Alberta, Cyril Gurevitch Q.C. has travelled the province and the country representing the interests of the public and lawyers from Alberta.  Being the first member of the CBA-Alberta executive from outside of Edmonton or Calgary, Mr. Gurevitch is well positioned to continue to advocate for the needs of Alberta’s rural communities at the provincial and national level.

On November 15, 2011 Timothy J. Burnham was elected by the Board of Directors to be the new President of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Mental Health Association - Alberta Northwest Region.  Tim has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2010.

The mission of the CMHA is to promote mental health for individuals and the community.

CMHA ANWR promotes the mental health of all and supports the resilience and recovery of people experiencing mental illness in many ways.  CMHA ANWR provides community mental health support for individuals whose determinants of mental health are at risk and whose struggle with housing stability puts them homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Canadian Bar Association Alberta Branch is pleased to announce that Cyril Gurevitch, QC of Gurevitch Headon & Associates has assumed the position of Treasurer of the Alberta Branch for the 2010-2011 term. This is a ladder position and Mr. Gurevitch will assume the role of President of the CBA Alberta Branch during the 2012 - 2013 term.

In addition to serving on the Executive as the Treasurer, Cyril S. Gurevitch Q.C. also sits on the Membership Committee and the Section Coordinator Committee.  The Membership Committee is responsible to promote membership and member services and to develop and implement membership recruitment and retention initiatives in cooperation with the Branch Executive Director and staff membership coordinator.  The Section Coordinator Committee is responsible to monitor the activities of Branch Sections which provide ongoing continuing legal training and to assist and provide support  Sections and staff sections registrars.

The Canadian Bar Association Alberta Branch is pleased to announce that Cyril Gurevitch, QC of Gurevitch Headon & Associates has assumed the position of Secretary of the Alberta Branch for the 2009-2010 term.  We are happy to report that Mr. Gurevitch is the first Executive member in the history of the Alberta Branch to reside in a city outside of Edmonton or Calgary.  This is a ladder position and Mr. Gurevitch will assume the role of President of the CBA Alberta Branch during the 2012 - 2013 term.
